China is one of the biggest emerging markets in the world with growing consumption rates, large population, and rising middle class, making it undeniably attractive to international businesses to grow overseas.
Coffee consumption in China has been increasing at an annual rate of 15% through the years according to data from the China Coffee Association Beijing. Most are young consumers returning home from their studies overseas, hoping to maintain their new lifestyle. Growing competition of the coffee market can also be attributed to the lack of dominant players and local coffee productions.
In response to the growing needs and opening borders, the expo aims to strengthen exchanges and cooperation with its neighbours through business development. This year’s theme, “New Opportunities and New Development”, will introduce a myriad of SMEs in the regions of South and Southeast Asia, and the Indian Ocean rim to the Chinese and international community. The expo will be held both on- and offline in view of the pandemic.
Sinouk Coffee will be represented by Yunnan Commerce physically, from 25th to 29th August 2021. Championing local coffee and tea products straight from the Bolaven Plateau, available for purchase. Those living abroad can also attend the expo virtually. The platform boasts multi-language support to break language restrictions and facilitation communications, and viewing through smart phones so participants can join in anywhere and anytime.
